The ceremony for the 77th Anniversary of Kachin State Day was organized on the lawn in front of the Kachin State government office yesterday.
State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister at the Prime Minister Office Admiral Tin Aung San first read out the message sent by State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing to the 77th Kachin State Day celebration.
State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan remarked, and Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung donated 150 sets of panels with 120-watt solar home systems to the Kachin State Security and Border Affairs minister.
Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn donated 50 MRTV DTHs and 50 DVB T2 Set Top Boxes for the state government and 30 MRTV DTHs and 50 DVB T2 Set Top Boxes for families of Northern Command.
The Admiral and party participated in the closing event with Manaw dance and posed for documentary photos.
At noon, the Admiral and party attended the honorary certificate, prizes and award-giving ceremony to the outstanding person for their efforts in state development measures and sector-wise activities at the township stadium in Myitkyina.
The state chief minister and state Security and Border Affairs minister explained the awarding event, and the Admiral and party conferred the honorary certificates and prizes on the outstanding ones.
The Admiral and party also joined the dinner event for the 77th Kachin State Day on the same evening.
They had dinner together enjoying the traditional dance and songs of cultural dance troupes.
