MoBA Union Minister inspects development activities in Shan State (South)

    UNION Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, along with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung and other officials, inspected various development projects in southern Shan State on 18 May. 
    They visited the development training school for ethnic youths in Pindaya Township, where the Union minister emphasized the importance of improving the school’s facilities and urged cooperation for the education sector’s development. Cash awards were given to teachers and students. 
    The inspection also included observing an agricultural pilot project using solar-powered water pumping systems and inspecting motor road asphalt resurfacing work in Pindaya Township. 
    On 19 May, they visited the Women’s Domestic Vocational Education Training School in Hsihseng Township of in Pa-O Self-Administered Zone and Development Training School for Ethnic Youth in Seikkhoung, where the Union minister interacted with staff and students, provided assistance, and inspected ongoing projects. 
    They also inspected road network construction in Menel and Loimaw hilly regions and holding an electrical training course at the Industrial Training School for Ethnic Youths in Aungban. 
    The Union minister also inspected construction works in Kalaw Township, which will benefit 13,145 national race people and contribute to local tourism development.
