Vietnamese ethnic minority affairs delegation visits Sagaing, Bagan

      VIET Nam Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs Vice Chairman/Deputy Minister Mr. Phan Van Hung and party who were in Myanmar on a friendly visit under the invitation of Ministry of Border Affairs visited Nationality Youth Resource Development Degree College (Sagaing) on 8 May accompanied by Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department Director General U Ye Naing. At the college the headmaster of the college explained about courses conducted and planted a tree to commemorate the friendly visit. On 9 May, the Viet Nam delegation accompanied by Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen Than Htut and officials visited Bagan ancient cultural region and paid homage to the Ananda Pagoda. Next they visited U Ba Nyein Lacquerware Work shop, excavation site of the palace of King Anawrahta and King Kyansittha and Popa Hillock. On 10 May, the Viet Nam delegation left Bagan for Yangon by air and visited Shwedagon Pagoda. Later in the afternoon the Viet Nam delegation left Yangon for Viet Nam and was seen off at the Yangon International Airport by Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen Than Htut and officials.
