In cooperation between Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department and Saetanar funded by The Nippon Foundation (TNF) implemented Education for Peace and Development project (EPD) for three phases of project with US$ 11 million from 2002 to 2017, 302 schools construction in Southern and Northern of Shan state and Maubin and Nyaungtone where had been affected by cyclone Nargis in Ayeyarwaddy Region.

Construction and renovation of schools in fourth phase as the current project with US$ 6.5 million in Taunggyi, Hopone, Hissaing, Pinlaung, Phaekhone, Pindaya, Yattsaut, Ywangan, Loilin, Nantsan in Southern Shan state, Muse, Kutkhai, Theinni, Sipaw, Nantsan, Kyaukme, Naungcho in Northern Shan state, 72 schools construction Loikaw, Demawso, Pharsaung, Pharuso, Bawlakhae in Kayah State and renovation of 30 schools construction in Northern and Southern Shan state is being implemented by Saetanar from 2018 to 2020.
