Officials also inspected repairs to staff housing and public buildings in Tiddim, including the Border Areas and National Races Youth Development Training School and a monastic education school. In Tonzang, officials inspected repairs to the Township Rural Development Office, a cyclone shelter and the hospital. Residents have been returning to Falam and surrounding villages since 6 May 2026, following the Tatmadaw’s full control of the town. Education, healthcare and socioeconomic activities have resumed as reconstruction and rehabilitation continue.
