  • Background History of the Technical Schools for National Youths in Border Areas

        The meeting minutes of the Meetion No.2/2004 of the Central Committee for the Development of Border Areas and National Races held on 30.12.2004 decided to establish technical training schools in border areas which provide with training courses such as carpentry, masonry, mechanic and iron works.

         According to the decision of the Meeting No (2/2004) of the Central Committee three Technical Schools for National Youth in Border Areas were established in MongLa, Laukkai, Pansan, Labutta and these schools have been conducting carpentry, masonry, mechanic and iron work training courses since 2006 and Labutta Technical Training School opened at 20 June 2011.

  • In collaboration with Bridge Asia Japan (B.A.J.)

         In collaboration with Bridge Asia Japan (B.A.J.), N.G.O. of Japan, the Technical Workshop Training School was established in Sittwe in 2001 to conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance training, electrical and welding training and basic electrical training courses for the nationalities youth from Rakhine State. After graduation from the above trainings, the trainees will be conferred with certificates equivalent to mechanic grade III in Japan. On 8-3-2009,their training school was transfered to Tiger Parahita School, Yangon and the training duration takes place for 6 months.

    To consolidate the Union Spirit and amity among the nationalities youth while studying together.

    (a)   To consolidate the Union Spirit and amity among the nationalities youth while studying together.

    (b)   To foster and belief in Three Main National Causes which  are Non- disintegration of the union, Non-disintegration of the national  solidarity and perpetuation of the sovereignty of the State.

    (c)   To emerge skillful workmen for establishing of industrial enterprise in border areas.  

    (d)   To promote the living standard in terms of accelerating integrated micro-enterprise by technical training.

    (e)   To implement for development activities in their own region after technical training.
