Cooperation with United Nations Development Programme
With the ambition to eradicate the public poverty at the rural area, Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department, Ministry of Border Affairs cooperates United Nations Development Programme to implement the four phases of Human Resource Development projects and supporting the vocational opportunities for social cohesion project utilized US$ 93.327 million. The project areas are Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan states, Naypyitaw and Yangon, and livestock breeding, agriculture sector, micro finance, income opportunities, roads, bridges and infrastructure sector and awareness trainings are being implemented.
Cooperation with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
In cooperation with Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), small projects for education sector, health sector, water supply activities, training for people awareness, activities to support for emergency, building of community- based infrastructure were implemented by using with US$ 622.48 million by 5 phases from 2005 to 2016 in Kayah State, Kayin State, Chin State, Mon State, Shan State, Bago Region and Tainitharyi Region.
Cooperation with GRET Myanmar
In cooperation between Ministry of Border Affairs, Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department and GRET Myanmar as for two phrases with US$ 5.209 million in Northern and Southern Chin stage implement Agriculture training courses, upgrading livestock breeding, effectively managing natural resources from 2013 to 2020.
Cooperation with Malteser International
In cooperation between Ministry of Border Affairs, Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department and Malteser International it was implemented four phases project from 2006 to 2020 with US$ 6.428 million and the activities for schools and dispensaries construction, conducting health awareness trainings, drinking water supply, disaster rick reduction activities in Kayin, Rakhine and Shan State.
Cooperation with Lutheran World Federation
Progress of Border Areas and National Races Department, Ministry of Border Affairs had cooperated with Lutheran World Federation to implement the social development project and support for schools and education sector from 2015 to 2018. During this 3 years project, US$ 0.3 million was utilized in implementing to support the Basic Education Primary Schools, Latrine, teaching aids, washing toilets, water and environment cleaning, technical assistant to get clean water, Public educated for management of rural development .
